Number of staff posted in Traffic Police Department in Karachi alongwith district/rank-wise detail thereof?

(a)   Whether it is a fact that bandit operation were carried out during 2023-24 in Katcha areas of Sindh;

(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative Funds allocated and spent including areas of expenditure alongwith area cleared as a results of the said operations?

ANSWER

            Yes, the operation against bandits is carried out in Katcha area of Sindh in 2023-24.

Inspector General of Police Sindh has provided details of operation and utilization of funds which may be perused at (Annexure-A & B). Placed on the Table of the House.

ANSWER

MR. ZIA-UL-HASSAN LANJAR: MINISTER FOR HOME:-

No, its not true. The Hon’able Supreme Court of Pakistan in Suo Moto Case No. 03/2012 and C.P.No. 492 to 495/2009 has declared all types of out of turn promotions illegal.

(a)  Procedure / criteria required for a Hon’ble citizens for issuance of arm license for his security?

(b) Number of Licenses issued in the year 2022 in Karachi division?

ANSWER

1. Rule 2.1 of Sindh Arms Rules 2018 lays down criteria for issuance of Personal Non Prohibited Bore (NPB) Arms Licences in the Province of Sindh is at Annexure placed on the Table of the House.
2. 4788 NPB Arms Licenses were issued in the year 2022 in Karachi Division.

1. Is it a fact that security agencies  were registered in the province of Sindh  during 2019 and 2020;
2. If answer to (a) above is affirmative the detail thereof along with the criteria followed to registered any security agency?

ANSWER

Yes, the operating licenses were issued to the Private Security Companies during the year 2019 and 2020.
