Number of complaints registered through departmental complaint centers during last two years 2022-2023 alongwith mechanism set out by the department for redressal of said complaints?

Working of Women Complaint Cells:
The major function of the cells is to provide legal aid, moral support and counseling to the women in distress according to the nature of case. Women have mostly approached through:
· Walk in
· Referral Partners
· Telephone Calls /Helpline 1094
· Media (Print Media / Electronic Media / Social Media)
The mechanism set out by department to redress the said complaints is as follows:
· Case Registration
· Counseling
· Reconciliation/Settlement
· Legal Aid
The Women Complaint Cells are established to combat the major issues encountered by women at grass-root level like Domestic Violence Issues, Family Problems, Custody / maintenance of children, Kidnapping and raping girls and women, Dissolution of Marriage / Khula, Recovery of Dowry articles, Karo Kari / Murder, Harassment, Acid throwing / burning, and other related problems.
Moreover, depending upon nature of the case, mostly these cases are solved through counseling. Otherwise, the cases are filed at court for legal battle.

(a) Is it a fact that display centers were established during 2018 to 2023 to introduce work of handicrafts and skills of women for other cities;
(b) If answer to (a) above is in the affirmative, the details thereof?
ANSWER

There was not any Display center established during 2018 to 2023tointroduceworkofhandicraftsandskillof Women for the other cities. However, sales and display center are the component of following Development Projects which are under process:
· Women Development Complex Karachi
· Women Development Complex Sukkur
· Women Development Complex Shaheed Benazirabad
· Women Development Complex Sanghar.

Procedure /criteria to provide shelter to Women in Dar-ul-Aman along with details of facilities being provided to them from 01-01-2019 to 01-01-2024?
ANSWER
MS. SHAHEENA SHER ALI, MINISTER FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT:-
Procedure / Criteria to provide shelter to women in Darul-Aman:
• “Any women in distress who is referred to Darul Aman through court of law, non-Governmental organizations(NGOs) or through an own will, shall be eligible to reside in Darul Aman”
• “Any Women victim of any form of threat or violence including physical, emotional/psychological, and sexual violence as well as any woman facing life threats is eligible to reside in Dar-ul-Aman.
• Note:(How ever any woman who suffers from any sever disease or Psychiatric disorder and is liable to endanger other residents is not eligible to reside in Darul Aman).
• As regards the facilities, these women who are provided shelter in Dar-ul- Aman, have basic necessities duly provided by the Government of Sindh (Women Development Department) during their stay in the Shelter home.
1. Three times balanced meal a day according to prescribed scale/schedule. i.e meat, fish, chicken, vegetables/lentils and fruit. (Milk for pregnant residents and infants also being provided).
2. Provision of appropriate cloths i-e shalwar kameez, dupatta shoes, socks, under garments, slippers and warm clothes in winter season i.e. Sweaters and shawls to residents and their children.
3. Provision of Medical Care: - A lady Doctor is attached with the Institute from Health Department to take appropriate care of health of residents and their Children. The District Health Office also ensures provision of Drugs as and when required. Periodical arrangements are also done for carrying out screening tests and vaccination of various contiguous diseases.
4. Adult Literacy/Informal Education: -Literacy classes for adult residents and their children are regularly held in the institute.
5. Vocational Training / Learning and Earning: - these residents are also enabled to acquire skill development training in the field of dress making (cutting-sewing), hand embroidery, appliqué work and other traditional/ cultural items (i.e rilli, paranda, Narra, Pindi etc) so that they could be able to earn for their livelihood after leaving the shelter home. Thus, they become economically self-reliant. This rehabilitation endeavour by the shelter home is very popular among the residents, as this also provide them an opportunity of earning while living in the shelter home.
6. Legal Aid: - legal Assistance is being provided to the residents to safeguard their rights of honourable life through Courts of law. The Institute ensures their timely appearance in the Courts.
7. Security Services: -A proper Security system from Police Department is in place round the clock for the safety and security of residents. The institute also makes appropriate security arrangements for those residents who attend Court hearings.
8. Awareness Sessions: - Regular awareness sessions on basic health, hygiene, legal education and family laws and other are being conducted at the institute.
Recreational Activities: - recreation activities are being organized on regular basis. National and International Days and special Occasions of Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul Udha, and other days are being observed. Participation of residents on significant days are also ensured inside the Institute.

(a) Is it a fact that funds earmarked by Government for women crisis centers during 2020-21;
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof including details fund utilized?
ANSWER

There were no funds earmarked for Women Crises Centre during 2021-2022.

How many interprovincial and international trade shows being organized by WDD to promote women entrepreneurs of Sindh from May 2018 to May 2024?
ANSWER

There have been no interprovincial and international trade shows directly organized by WDD during the period of May 2018 to May 2024. Organization of trade shows is the mandate of Industries Department.

How many Dar-ul-Amans are operating in the province alongwith their capacity for women?
ANSWER

There are five Darul Amans operating in the province of Sindh. The details are as follows:
1. Darul Aman Karachi (run by Panah Shelter Home, NGO) has capacity for 75 inmates
2. Darul Aman Hyderabad has capacity for 40 inmates.
3. Darul Aman Shaheed Benazirabad has capacity for 80 inmates.
4. Darul Aman Sukkur has capacity for 40 inmates.
5. Darul Aman Larkana has capacity for 40 inmates.
