WHEREAS, 27th October is observed as ‘Kashmir Black Day’ in Pakistan to condemn the illegal occupation of Kashmir by the Indian Forces, in violation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions.
WHEREAS, the human rights situation in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has severely deteriorated, extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests, torture and enforced disappearances are reported.
We stand in complete solidarity with Kashmiris in their struggle for realization of their inalienable right to self-determination in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolutions.
This House resolves and recommends to the Government of Sindh to approach Federal Government to approach international community to urge India to stop the ongoing human rights violations; and implement the United Nations Security Council Resolutions.

Will the Minister for Culture, Tourism & Antiquities be pleased to State:-
(a) Whether the department has offices in Larkana, Shikarpur, Dadu, Nawabshah, KamberShahdadkot and Sukkur;
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof alongwith ongoing schemes?
ANSWER
SYED ZULFIQAR ALI SHAH: MINISTER FOR CULTURE, TOURISM & ANTIQUITIES:-
The department has offices in Larkana, Shikarpur, Nawabshah and Sukkur.
The details of offices at above districts are as under:-
1. Mohen Jo Daro Site, Larkana
2. City Museum, Shikarpur
3. Bilawal Institute, Nawabshah
4. Archaeological Museum, Sukkur
There are no ongoing schemes at above offices.

Number of historical buildings in Karachi and Hyderabad along with steps are being taken to look after of the said building?
ANSWER
SYED ZULFIQAR ALI SHAH: MINISTER FOR CULTURE, TOURISM & ANTIQUITIES:-
The total number of historical buildings in Karachi is 1741 and Hyderabad is 144.
There is watch and ward staff to look after the heritage buildings, if there is any violation i.e. illegal demolition of heritage buildings, departments takes the action by issuing show cause notices against the responsible persons, by sealing the building and by lodging the FIRs under Sindh Cultural Heritage (Preservation) Act, 1994.

Is it fact that federation has been collecting taxes from Sindh Archaeological sites, historical places and shrines after the 18th Amendment? If so, reasons thereof?
ANSWER
SYED ZULFIQAR ALI SHAH: MINISTER FOR CULTURE, TOURISM & ANTIQUITIES:-
The Federation has not been collecting taxes from Sindh Archaeological Sites and historical places after the 18th Amendment.
However, the shrines are not under the administrative control of this Department.

What measures are in place to protect historical sites and monuments in Sindh?
ANSWER
SYED ZULFIQAR ALI SHAH: MINISTER FOR CULTURE, TOURISM & ANTIQUITIES:-
Culture, Tourism, Antiquities & Archives Department has carried out conservation, preservation and restoration work at forty nine (49) Archaeological sites / Monuments in Sindh.

(a) Whether is it a fact that Government has undertaken any initiatives to build infrastructure, such as Museums, Galleries and Theaters in the province from 2018 to 2023;
(b) If answer to (a) above is in affirmative, the details thereof?
ANSWER
SYED ZULFIQAR ALI SHAH: MINISTER FOR CULTURE, TOURISM & ANTIQUITIES:-
Yes, this Government has taken imitative to build infrastructure such as Museums, Galleries and Theatres in the province from 2018 to 2023. The details are as under:-
i) Auditorium at Dadu
ii) Kotri Cultural Complex.
iii) Culture Complex, Sukkur.
iv) Auditorium at Kunri district Umerkot.
v) Culture Complex, Umerkot.
vi) Sambara Art Gallery, Karachi.
vii) KotDiji Museum, Khairpur.
viii) Miskeen Jahan Khan Khoso Museum at Nagarparkar
ix) Archaeological Museum, Sukkur.
x) Makli Museum at Thatta
xi) Mansurah Museum, Sanghar
xii) City Museum, Larkana
xiii) Site Museum at Chahun-jo-Daro, Benazirabad.
Apart from the above, the following Museums have been upgraded:-
i) Mukhi House Museum, Hyderabad.
ii) Quaid-e-Azam House Museum, Karachi
iii) Quaid-e-Azam Birth Place (Wazir Mansion) Karachi.
iv) Banbhore Museum, Thatta.
v) Thar Museum, Umerkot
vi) Mohen-jo-Daro Museum, Larkana

Number of tourism places developed in the Province of Sindh along with the amount spent thereon from January 30, 2020 to May 31, 2023?

Only one (01) tourism place developed during 30-01-2020 to 31-05-2023 and total Rs. 164.582
