The 98th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was commemorated at the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, by Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah, marking the occasion by cutting a cake.
Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah was joined by Deputy Speaker Anthony Naveed, and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh for Archives, Sarfraz Rajar,
The ceremony was attended by a large number of Members of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, including Sadia Javed, Nida Khuhro, Heer Soho, Muhammad Asif Moosa, Fayyaz Butt, Yousuf Baloch, Dr. Sikandar Shoro, Sumeta Afzal, Tanzila Umme Habiba, Imdad Pitafi, Syed Farrukh Shah, Pir Mujeeb, Halar Wassan, Jam Shabbir Ali, Muhammad Qasim Soomro, and Hina Dastagir.
Addressing the gathering, Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was the architect of Pakistan’s 1973 Constitution and a pioneer of people-centric politics, whose democratic vision continues to guide the country.
Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah emphasized that Bhutto empowered the common citizen by giving them a voice in national politics.
Secretary Provincial Assembly of Sindh G.M. Umar Farooq and Director General PAS Irfan Ahmed Memon were also present on the occasion.
The event concluded with participants paying homage to the historic sacrifices of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for democracy, constitutional supremacy, and the rights of the people.
