Subject:      ADJOURNMENT MOTION NO. 06 OF 2024; GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. NIDA KHUHRO, MPA REGARDING ALARMING USAGE OF DRUGS BY ADOLESCENCE AND TEENAGERS IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

I am to state that the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on 27-05-2024 discussed the subjected Adjournment Motion [copy attached] and after discussion, the Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs & Criminal Prosecution and Home, Sindh moved a Substantive Motion, which is reproduced as under:

‘This Assembly is of the opinion that Provincial Government take notice of alarming usage of drugs by adolescence and teenagers in Educational Institutions and take steps to curb such evil from Educational Institutions of the Province’.

The said Substantive Motion was carried by the House.

02.              The contents of debated Adjournment Motion are hereby forwarded, as required under Rule 93(2) of Rules of Procedure, Provincial Assembly of Sindh, 2013 which provides that ‘After the matter has been discussed, the contents of the debated adjournment motion shall be forwarded to the Cabinet for consideration, through a Substantive Motion’, for further necessary action in this regard.
