Subject:     RESOLUTION.

I am to state that the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Saturday, the 21st June, 2025 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, MPA/ Chairman, Public Accounts Committee, Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Mr. Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister, Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, MPA, Agha Siraj Khan Durrani, MPA and Mr. Ghulam Qadir Chandio, MPA:

 

“This House commemorates the 72nd birth anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the first elected female Prime Minister of the Muslim world and a global icon of democracy.

 

Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, an iconic leader and champion of democracy, inspired generations with her courage, vision, and unwavering commitment to the people of Pakistan.  As the first female Prime Minister of Pakistan, she led the Country towards peace, progress and prosperity. Her leadership was marked by significant achievements, including the promotion of education, healthcare, and women's empowerment etc.

 

Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto advanced Pakistan's missile technology by establishing the Missile Technology Board in 1989 enabling the successful development and testing of the Hataf missile program, strengthening Pakistan’s defense capabilities, and enhanced in 1995 with help of China.

 

Shaheed Benazir Bhutto determinedly promoted tolerance, dialogue and peace, striving to purify our Nation from the curse of terrorism and her mission was to establish a democratic system and a society based on equality.

       

Through her martyrdom, she immortalized her legacy, which continues to guide us towards a brighter future, where democracy, equality, and justice reign supreme.

 

This House resolves to reaffirm its commitment to carrying forward her vision for a progressive, prosperous and pluralistic Pakistan as her legacy lives on through the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who continues her mission..
