SUBJECT: 2NDMEETING OF PROVINCIAL PARLIMENTARY TASK FORCE FOR SDGs IN SINDH.
I am to state that the Convenor Provincial Parliamentary Task Force (SDGs) has been pleased to convene a meeting scheduled to be held on WEDNESDAY, THE 03RD SEPTEMBER, 2025, AT 02:00 P.M.in Committee Room No. 01, Old Sindh Assembly Building, Karachi.
AGENDA
Based on the 1st meeting of PTF held on 17th February 2025, the following key points were discussed and proposed for the next meeting agenda:
1. Formation of sub-committees: Four to five sub-committees with MPAs selecting their respective thematic areas.
2. Finalization and notification of ToRs: PTF’s TORs finalization and notification.
3. Data Collection & Reporting: Constituency-based scorecards to be formally incorporated into the ToRs.
4. Monitoring and Oversight: The Task Force is to develop robust monitoring mechanisms to track SDGs progress.
5. Departmental Representation: Relevant provincial departments to nominate representatives for Task Force meetings.
6. Establishment of a Secretariat: Formal secretariat establishment and budget allocation for FY 2025-26.
7. Meeting Frequency: A monthly meeting frequency is proposed in the 1st PTF meeting.
Additional Agenda Points
8. Workshop for Parliamentarians: A comprehensive two-day workshop dedicated tothe lawmakers for orientation on SDGs and the climate agenda in early October 2025.
It is, therefore, requested to attend the said meeting on the date, time, and venue mentioned above.
